~~~
To All Visitors:
Once again, I would like to clarify that this is a charitable effort from my heart, and I am not making money from this project.  I bought this disposable website for the sole purpose of trying to publicize this project to get others involved.  This is not the kind of website that generates any "per hit" income.  The NASCAR Store link is on this site to give quick access to:
                          The NASCAR Winston Cup Series Victory Lap Tribute Collection
Any and all profits to my affilliate account through December 31, 2003 will be donated to the five charities that benefit from the garden project.  This is all for the children!!!
~~~
Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of IRL IndyCar driver Tony Renna.  You will all be in our continual prayers.  Godspeed, Victoria
~~~
Visitors drop by daily to see the garden at the house.  All are welcome!!!  All are encouraged to get out of their vehicles and walk around.  This garden is for all to enjoy.  My hope is that visitors to the site and to the garden at the house will enjoy the whole thing so much that they will be moved to send $3 to each of the five charities to help the children.  This is all for the children!!!
~~~
The emails keep on coming.  I'm almost caught up with the replies.  Very thankful for all the messages and comments.
~~~
Much thanks to all who are spreading the word about this project.  This bandwagon is full-speed ahead because y'all are adding fuel every time you tell someone about the garden site.  Garden central is very grateful.  There are still millions of race fans to reach.  Y'all keep passin' the word and we'll keep contactin' the media!!!
We're in Green Flag racing, and the mission goes on...
                                 Honor Winston Cup & Dale Earnhardt by helping children.
A poem by Steve Belanger of Northville, Michigan
Number 3, the great we say,
Lost his life, one fateful day.
Doing the thing, he loved to do,
He loved to race, and that was true.
Who would have known, that from his death,
Now Kevin Harvick has to test,
All that he knows, to show the rest,
That Richard Childress, has picked the best.
(Thank you Steve for sharing this with Garden Central. -VK)
~~~
Recent visitors to the garden at the house...
Ann & Lil, Michelle & Shannon of Livonia, Jerry and Ruth Sagar of Livonia and Rory and Bonnie Jones of Westland.
Rory and Bonnie Jones are staunch, Sterling Marlin fans.  "FORTY" Michigan license plate and all!!!  They were kind enough to share about Rory having had the opportunity to be part of Sterling's pit crew at the August 2001 race at Michigan International Speedway.  They were both thrilled with Sterling's victory that day and even more thrilled when Sterling purposely pulled around on the track to point directly at Rory, following the race!!! (Sterling Marlin is a class act!!! -VK)
~~~
Garden Central is on pins and needles, waiting for word from The Guinness World Record Organization.  As soon as we hear from Guinness regarding the record attempt, we will update you folks with the information they provide!!!
There are a few corrections...
Although, the project was a creation from my hands, I give all the credit to God, for His inspiration to do this to unite race fans, around the world, to honor Dale Earnhardt and NASCAR's Winston Cup Series, by helping five children's charities.
~
There are many race fan families, struggling to make ends meet.  Many fans would have loved to have attended the Tribute Concert in Daytona, but it was just not affordable to them.  Millions would love to honor Dale in any way possible.
~
The maps for each track came from my NASCAR ROAD ATLAS and my NASCAR 2003 Preview and Press Guide.
~
These were the most important corrections that needed to be made.
~~~
Many thanks to www.ba.manilasites.com and www.1stheadlines.com for posting links to the garden site.

"I am glad you kept it going as word has just now reached me about the garden and I posted a link on our message board: www.rickycravenfans.com.  Thank you for all your work for others to enjoy.  As you know God blesses us in many ways, just seeing the garden lifts the heart.

In the planning of this garden project to honor Winston Cup and Dale Earnhardt, I had anticipated that this race would be like The Dodge/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway.  Instead, it has turned out to be really similar to The Coca-Cola 600 at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Because of late media attention to the project, (details to come) this race goes on!!!  By Saturday, 10/04, there will be some major news to share with y'all.

~~~
According to some of the messages coming into Garden Central, race fans want this project to continue for the rest of this final NASCAR Winston Cup season.
One man wrote..."To me it seems unfair to have this end on September 30, when so many fans don't know about it yet.  I think a lot of people who thought a great deal of Dale Earnhardt are going to be left out of being a part of this nice honor.  Plus, if this is to honor Winston Cup, it should last until the season is over.  Maybe you could make it for # 3 months, that would give more time for fans to know about it.  This is my suggestion for good results for those charities".
Reply to all who have emailed with similar comments:
This is worth consideration, as y'all are making valid points.  We will consider the suggestions and discuss it and then make a decision by tomorrow, Tuesday evening.  As soon as the decision is made, I will post it here for y'all.  Also, thanks so much for all of the emails and messages, they are so appreciated.
Okay, people, we've just pulled out of the Pits after taking four new tires and getting a wedge adjustment in the back. This bandwagon is back on the track and ready to go the distance for the last 5 days of this race!!!
Of course, y'all know that you are adding the fuel everytime you tell others about this site. The more people who visit, the more who may be moved to make these very affordable donations to help children and honor Dale Earnhardt and the Winston Cup.
As of now, there have been 15,522 visitors to this site. Yet, there are still millions of fans who are unaware of this garden project. The mission continues!!!
Last night, I sat outside on my country porch and listened to Ronnie Milsap's 40 #1 HITS, Smoky Mountain Rain, Lost in the Fifties Tonight, Happy, Happy Birthday Baby, etc. I was trying to figure out some way for this project to reach more people. I couldn't come up with anything that I haven't already done. If anyone out there can give me any ideas, please contact me, right away, by email at: reverendvictoria@nascargarden.com
There are so many thank yous and much garden news to report but, I am not able to report to you now.
With the loss of Tara Parker and her sisters, Mysti and Megan, my heart remains very heavy. I hope to update this page later this evening (Sunday night), or at least by Monday morning. I pray all visitors will understand that the NASCAR community is in mourning at this time.
My deepest condolences to Shawn & Jagger, the entire family and all of the friends of Tara, Mysti & Megan. They are the ones whose lives have been devastated and changed forever. These are the people I am praying for. Again, my heartfelt, deepest sympathy to the Parker family, et al.
I want to make it very clear to all, please do not send donations to me, send them directly to the charities.
Continued thanks to everyone for adding fuel and horsepower to this bandwagon. Each time you tell someone about NASCARGARDEN.COM it adds to the momentum of this drive to the checkered flag on September 30th...breaking records in honor of Dale & Winston Cup!!! It's all about millions of people, around the world, knowing about the project.
I promise you that I am doing my very best to get the word out locally, nationally and internationally by contacting...radio stations all over the US, television stations-local/national/international, newspapers-local/national/international, magazines-national/international, motorsports directories-national/international, motorsports websites-national/international, and motorsports trade papers-national/international.
I truly have done all that I can to help these five charities that so benefit children and to honor Dale Earnhardt and the Winston Cup Series, in record-breaking fashion!!!
Once again, I call out to any and all who can help get the word out around the world. Judging from the comments, messages and e-mails coming into NASCARGARDEN.COM Central, people from around the globe want to know about this project, and are happy when they learn about it!!!
So, anyone with the ear of the public, please hear...NASCARGARDEN.COM needs your voice. This lady minister from Livonia, Michigan, can only do so much.
~~~
Thanks to Lisa Ensign of Romulus, Michigan. As I understand, Lisa visited the racetrack garden at the house and took pictures, a few days prior to the August 17th race at Michigan International Speedway. She took the pictures to the race to show other NASCAR fans. So, I give a shout out to Lisa!!!
~~~
Blessings to all who are taking time to contact NASCARGARDEN.COM with your thoughts and feelings about Dale and the Winston Cup, and everything else that y'all are sharing. Once this project has served its purpose, I will be sending any and all messages about Dale, to the Earnhardt family. So, please keep the comments, e-mails and messages coming...they are so encouraging.
~~~
THE GOAL CONTINUES...FULL MAILBOXES @ THE FIVE CHARITIES...ALL SEPTEMBER LONG!!!

The "Iron Man" wins the Southern 500 on the final Labor Day weekend race at Darlington!
Congratulations to Terry & Kim, Jim Long, Rick Hendrick, and everyone involved with the Kellogg's #5 Chevy Monte Carlo. This was a very exciting win for all who love NASCAR and the tradition of this race, in particular. In addition to being the final Southern 500, as we know it; it was also the final NASCAR Winston Cup Series Southern 500. Again, Terry Labonte's win was most fitting!!!

NASCAR GARDEN registered with Guinness World Records Organization,

Of course, I will keep you posted as to the progress of the world record attempt.

...speaking of records...
Welcome to September 2003....We're ready to break some records honoring The Man, Dale Earnhardt!!!

May God bless this project with overflowing bounty for the children. Amen

Bandwagon, start your engine...the welcome sign is out...the green flag is waving...the race is on...tell everybody and anybody to visit: NASCARGARDEN.COM...please tell them to ~ Enjoy their visit, tell others about the website, and to make these very affordable donations to help the children. ~ Let's do some record-breaking numbers for these charities!!!

I look forward to and will be grateful for answered prayer in the form of hundreds and thousands of $3.00 checks and money orders pouring into these charities throughout the month of September.

The e-mails, messages, comments and visitors to the garden at the house are streaming in at NASCARGARDEN.COM Central!!! All are welcome. This project is for everyone to enjoy!!!
Yesterday, just after Terry took the checkered flag at Darlington, a couple I didn't know came by the house to look at the garden and to tell me about their day at Michigan International Speedway enjoying the Richard Petty Driving Experience. They gave me the info on it and shared with me what a really great time they had. They couldn't say enough about how accommodating the Petty Organization was. I was very touched that Mr. & Mrs. Doyle Jackson of Livonia wanted to share this with me. They were kind enough to say they will pass on the info about the website to others. Godspeed Mr. & Mrs. Jackson!!!
~~~
Keep the e-mails coming. It's such a pleasure to hear from visitors from all over to this site. I'm enjoying answering the mail. (More rewards from this project are new friendships, with more of the greatest fans in the world!!!)
~~~
Happy anniversary and many blessings to Seymon and Janonn Allen of Chandler, Arizona.
~~~
Once again, I would like to clarify I am not making money from this project. I bought this disposable website for the sole purpose of trying to publicize this project to get others involved. This is not the kind of website that generates any "per hit" income.
This project is what some may term "a random act of kindness." I term it as "laying up treasures in heaven" by being a light on this earth. Being charitable and moving others to acts of charity is required of me. Sort of just doin' what I'm told, ya know?
Honoring Dale by helping children...what can be better than that?!!!
To quote Elwood Blues, "I'm on a mission from God!!!"
The call is out to any and all who can help get the word out to others...NASCARGARDEN.COM needs your voice!!!
>>>Godspeed,
Victoria
Thank you to Darren Wilhite, Tim Wall, Bob Schuman and Lisa Barry of WYCD 99.5 FM DETROIT'S BEST COUNTRY. The interview this morning about the garden went really well. They were kind enough to have people log onto NASCARGARDEN.COM prior to the on-air interview. From that moment on, the website has had hit after hit. Thank you WYCD for helping to get the word out to the Country listeners in the Detroit area.
FULLSIZECHEVY.COM
Shout out to Ricky Rudd fans
-
WOW...Thanks for posting NASCARGARDEN.COM on Ricky's message board! The response from race fans has been tremendous. With all of you helping get the word out, this can be nothing but great! I'm confident that each charity is really going to benefit in September, because y'all took the time to tell others.
Thank you so much.
>>Local News<<
WYCD 99.5 FM DETROIT'S BEST COUNTRY has invited me to be in the studio, on-air with Wilhite & Wall on Friday 8/22, between 7:45 and 8:15am. We will be talking about the garden project. Hope you get a chance to listen.
~~~
On a personal note...While doing this project:
In addition to being a wife and mom, I was working full time (sometimes 6 days a week), and fulfilling the duties of my wedding ministry. Oh, and in the midst of it all, we adopted Tito, a rescued Newfoundland/Chow. As y'all can see, "My plate is full"!
But I took every spare moment, and any block of time I could get to work on this honor to Dale & NASCAR Winston Cup. The five months of work that it took will be well worth it when these charities see record-breaking donations for the month of September!
Many thanks to all who are adding fuel and horsepower to this bandwagon every day.

Victoria

We've passed the 3,000 mark! Thank you so very much. Keep passing the word!

I am having problems with the Contact Me page on my website. If you wish to send me a message (and I hope you do), please email me at ReverendVictoria@nascargarden.com. I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Once the Contact Me page is functioning again, I'll post another message here. Oh, and almost 3,000 hits now -- thanks, everyone! Keep passing the word.

08/17/03
As my husband used to say during his disc jockey days in Michigan, "And the hits just keep on comin'!" There have been over 2,500 hits to nascargarden.com since August 10, 2003, (in one week) and I thank each and every one of you.

"BIG UPS" to those who posted nascargarden.com on the message boards for Bobby Hamilton Jr., Kevin Harvick, Tony Stewart and Motorsports Forum.

Many thanks to FOX2 NEWS Detroit for doing a story on this project and running it several times.

The key to this project's success is getting the word out.

The goal continues to be honoring Dale Earnhardt by helping children in record-breaking fashion. The memory of this seven time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion, deserves no less!

Special thanks to each of you who have written to tell me you are making donations to the children's charities. I try to respond to all the emails I get and if I haven't gotten around to yours, please be patient.

Godspeed,
